Sea Scare at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium presents its 6th annual Halloween event, transforming into a world of chills, thrills and gills. We have never been, so you will have to judge for yourself, based on the description from their website:

Come in costume and join in the masquerade of spooks and ghouls, trick-or-treat throughout the aquarium at six different treat stations, or walk along the docks of the Port Town. Just when you thought you were safe, those marauding pirates are back with their crazy antics and bad pirate jokes.

Visit the Aquarium’s Aquatic Nursery for a special treasure hunt, scary sea creature feedings and chilling cryogenic demonstrations. Stop by the Exploration Center for some treats, participate in bioluminescent crafts and learn about deep-sea creatures that lurk in our oceans. Enter the Marine Research Library for some creepy creations and spooky stories. Don’t forget to enter the costume contest for your chance to win some spook-tacular prizes.

New for 2011! Take a journey through the event’s all new haunted walk-through attraction, Mermaid’s Lair. Come face to face with the Aquarium’s resident cannibal, Red Bone and try your luck at some games of chance or have your fortune read in Voodoo Village. Or check out some close-up magic, enter the hula hoop contest, or dance the night away in the Sea Scare Glow Party Zone. Plus! The hit stage show, Evilution is back with all new dances and comedy that’s sure to leave you in stitches.

Kids of all ages can participate in activities at the Craft Corner such as spooky cookie decorating, slime making, trick-or-treat bag decorating, plus much more!

Apparitional activities, creepy crafts, dreadful demonstrations, and eerie entertainment all await you at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium’s SEA SCARE. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children and seniors, FRIENDS members are FREE.
