That may look like a mere piece of notebook paper with a scribble on it, but it is actually a charm that will protect my soul in the afterlife. So I got that going for me.

These talismans are being handed out by Papa, an oungan attending the birthday party at the Count’s Den’s latest intimate, immersive experience, Bite: Surprise! Those eager to insure a comfortable transition to the afterlife are advised to attend. The festivities are scheduled Fridays and Saturdays through March 5 in downtown Los Angeles.
