Spooky Cars at this year’s Disney Halloween Time

Disney’s official website is selling this year’s incarnation of Disneyland Halloween Time as much expanded over previous years. Disneyland Resort consists of two parks: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. During past Halloween seasons, the majority of the seasonal overlay was in the former, but this year California Adventure is getting into the act with Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark and Haul-O-Ween. The former is a nighttime version of the year-round Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission : Breakout attraction, with a new Halloween-themed song by the film’s composer, Tyler Bates. The latter takes place in Cars Land, which transforms Radiator Springs (from the movie Cars) into “Radiator Screams.” There will be “Jack-Oil-Lanterns,” spooky local art, a Spider Car, and two locations (Luigi’s Honkin’ Halloween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree) will invite guests to dance to Halloween variations on familiar tunes (e.g., “Monster Truck Smash.” There will also be a new Headless Horseman statue in Carthay Circle of Buena Vista Street, where familiar Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, etc.) will be dressed in spooky Halloween costumes
