Description: In honor of actor Walter Koenig (Chekov in STAR TREK) receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (ceremony on Monday, September 10), the American Cinematheque presents this program of TREK-related material. Koenig will be on hand to introduce the films and answer questions.

“Roddenberry on Patrol” (2003, 14 min). A laugh-out-loud parody of “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry’s quest to find the inspiration for the show. With Dan Chase as Roddenberry and Walter Koenig as Mr. Lofchek.

“Spectre of the Gun” (1968, 51 min). In this classic episode from season three of “Star Trek,” Captain Kirk and crew are subjected to acting as losers in a bizarre reenactment of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. With Walter Koenig as Chekov.
Introduction by actor Walter Koenig, plus discussion with Koenig between “Spectre of the Gun” and THE WRATH OF KHAN. Koenig will receive his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Monday, September 8!
