Star Trek: The Motion Picture at Egyptian Theatre

Star Trek's much maligned big screen debut - which is actually pretty spectacular and imaginative, despite a lethargic pace - gets the big screen tretment from the American Cinematheque. The original TREK cast is back, led by William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Deforest Kelly, in a story written by Gene Roddenberry. The great Robert Wise directed, although this is not up to his other science fiction classic, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951).

Location: THE EGYPTIAN THEATRE - 6712 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA (323) 466-FILM
