More Halloween Events in Los Angeles open this weekend

Knotts Scary Farm officially launched Halloween Season 2009 last night, getting a jump on the competition. Not wanting to be left behind, four other Halloween haunts are opening today: Old Town Haunt in Pasadena, the Halloween Harvest Festival near Pierce College in Chatsworth, and Disneyland Halloween Time and The Empty Grave, both in Anaheim.

The Empty Grave - Halloween 2010

Description: Formerly the Haunted Cellar, this Halloween haunt expanded into the Empty Grave for 2009. Unlike most haunted walk-through attractions (which tend to be claustrophobic), this one is large and cavernous, creating a unique atmosphere.

October 1 Brings More Halloween Horror!

Queen Mary Dark Harbor, Old Town Haunt, and The Empty Grave open this weekend.

At long last, October has arrived, and this means even more Halloween horror haunting Los Angeles and the surrounding environs. The weekend sees three major attractions: The Queen Mary Dark Harbor in Long Beach, The Old Town Haunt in Pasadena, and The Empty Grave in Anaheim; plus two family friendly events, Snoopy's Costume Party at Knott's Berry Farm and Brick or Treat party Nights at Legoland.

The Empty Grave 2012

The Empty Grave opens once again for Halloween. Formerly known as The Haunted Cellar, this unusual attraction features a spacious fog-filled layout suggesting an ethereal trip through limbo. When we attended a few years ago, the haunt was short on sets, but unusual atmosphere lent its own unique vibe, leaving us feeling like lost travelers who had inadvertently crossed the River Styx.
