TCM: Star Trek II 40th anniversary screenings

Celebrating one of one of Trek’s most brightly shining cinematic moments, Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies Big Screen Classics presents a 40th anniversary theatrical engagement of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). The film screens nationwide on September 4, 5, and 8, with showtimes at 4pm and 7pm at most locations. The presentation includes “exclusive insight from Turner Classic Movies,” presumably in the form of commentary from the channel’s movie hosts.

Theatres screening the film in the greater Los Angeles area include LA Live, Fine Arts, AMC Century City 15, Regal North Hollywood 9, Century Stadium 25, Studio Movie Grill Simi Valley, Regal Janns Marketplace 9, and many others. Find a complete list of theatres in your area at the Fathom Events website.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is generally considered one of – perhaps the – best Trek feature films, and it holds up pretty well decades after it release, thanks to a solid storyline, strong performances from the classic cast, and deft direction from Nicholas Myer. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen.
