The official description reads:
No vampires in love here! Just good old-fashioned screaming, biting and angry vamps on a killing spree. TO DIE FOR MANDY: the vampire play, is a whodunit, Las Vegas style. Two vampires have a century long feud which eventually culminates in a Chinese restaurant in a high-desert, California town. Joktan, a heart-broken vampire, finally took his revenge on Dule’, the demon-of Death. But at what cost? Dule’ has trapped everyone who has wronged him and his precious Mandy in this restaurant. Joktan, a hitman, two Las Vegas racketeers, two prostitutes, a crazy cook and a christian, are all waiting in terror for their death sentence. Who will die for Mandy? Bring your fangs and your costumes. All vampires and other costumed creatures (or victims) are welcomed!
Performances are on October 12, 19, 26 at 10:30pm and on October 31 at 7pm and 10pm.
Front Row Reserved Seats are $10. Mention Hollywood Gothique and pay reserved price at the door. On October 19th all USC and UCLA students with valid student i.d. will get in free. General Admission seats are on a first-come, first-serve basis, in exchange for a donation as you leave.
This sounds like an amateur production, with appeals for donations and funding. The Lounge Theatre is a small venue in Hollywood’s Theatre Row, which rents its space and production services to arts attempting to mount plays.
