Trailer 2: Lightyear

The concept here is almost meta: The Buzz Lightyear seen in the Toy Story movies is a toy based on show, so apparently Lightyear must be what inspired the toy, right? Certainly there is potential for some jokes based on the differences between the “fictional” Buzz seen here and the “real” Buzz we have seen previously. Or maybe Pixar will just use this as an excuse to make a summer sci-fi adventure blockbuster.

Voices: Chris Evans, Uzo Aduba, Peter Sohn, Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi, Dale Soules, and James Brolin as Zurg. Angus MacLane directed, from a screenplay by Jason Headley & Angus MacLane. Rated PG, Run time: 100 mins.  The official release date is June 17, but early access screenings begin on June 15.
