IFC Films is opening this science fiction film in limited engagements around the country, including screens at the Alamo Drafthouse Los Angeles on Sunday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 30. Directed by Caitlin Cronenberg (daughter of David), Humane presents a world in which humanity is fighting ecological disaster by reducing the human population through voluntary suicide. The story focuses on a family where the designated person has absconded, forcing the remaining members to pick someone to fill the slot.
