Universal Pictures milks the franchise once again. After the last two films there is little reason to be optimistic, but maybe director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) can do something with it. The official release date is July 1 (including premium formats like Digital 3D and Cinemark XD), but early screenings in standard format begin in Los Angeles Theatres on June 26 at Laemmle’s NoHo in North Hollywood (Friday only, at 8:30pm) and the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Santa Monica (daily at 3pm). Will L.A. dino fans wait for Digital 3D on July 1, or see it in standard format on Friday?
