Back for Halloween 2018, Dearly Departed Tours and Museum presents a Horror Film Location Tour, which visits filming sites for Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Zombieland, Scream 2 (1997), Michael Jackson’s Thriller (1982), Ed Wood (1994), A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and Drag Me to Hell (2009). Since this is the 40th anniversary of Halloween (1978), the tour is emphasizing visits to locations for both John Carpenter's original and Rob Zombie's remake. Dearly Departed Tours presents this weekly trek into the dark side of Tinseltown. Guide Brian Donnelly regales listeners with tales of tragedy. The 90-minute, one-mile tour includes "scary sights, spooky sounds and stinky smells...in bars, alleys, storefronts, theaters, and hotels, each with a haunting story attached." Headset listening devices are provided to prevent traffic noise from drowning out the tour.
