Status: Permanently Retired. The Haunted Shack closed its doors after one last hurrah for Halloween 2022, offering a sort of greatest hits reprise of their most memorable moments. The proprietor is launching a professional haunt out of state. Hollywood Gothique wishes him great success!

In operation since 1997, this amateur haunted house grew into an effects-filled, 1500-square-foot walk-through maze featuring a 6-8 minute walk through. The look of the maze changed from year to year, depending on the theme (everything from killer klownz to Dia De Los Muertos). The Haunted Shack went on hiatus in 2007 and 2018, due to time constraints, resurrected its maze in 2019, then converted to a yard display inspired by Stranger Things during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. Halloween 2021 saw the return of their walk-through attraction. For Halloween 2022, The Haunted Shack offered a farewell presentation with rooms recreating memorable scenes from the previous decades.
