This New Beverly Cinema is the last full-time revival theatre operating in Los Angeles - a great hangout for film connoisseurs. Ticket and concession prices are very reasonable. The programming is an eclectic mix of cult and classic titles. Titles change every two or three days. Grindhouse exploitation films are a regular feature. Weekend family matinees frequently feature fantasy films. Horror titles are commonly included, especially for midnight weekend screenings. There is an annual All-Night Horror Show every October.
Quentin Tarantino (who was the theatre's landlord for several years) took over operation of the theatre in 2014. The theatre went dark in September, then reopened in October, with its venerable but aging interior restored for a new generation of movie buffs.
