Video: The New Mutants in 60 seconds

The cast of The New Mutants describes the film in 60 seconds. After sitting on the shelf for years, the latest entry in the X-men franchise gets released by Walt Disney Pictures on August 28, making it one of the first new films to screen in months, since the Covid-19 pandemic shut down cinemas nationwide. The film will not be available in Los Angeles sit-down cinemas, which remain closed; however, audiences in other cities will have the opportunity to risk infection by sitting with strangers for two hours in an enclosed space, where eating popcorn and drinking soda will insure that mask-wearing is optional at best.

Los Angeles audiences can see The New Mutants at two drive-ins: The Rose Bowl in Pasadena and the Tiki Drive-in in Montclair.
