Win tickets to EEK! at the Greek! The best non-haunt Halloween event in Los Angeles!

Great news, Halloween fans! Hollywood Gothique is giving away a family four-pack of tickets to see the 5th annual EEK! at the Greek! on Saturday, October 24 at the Greek Theatre. Designed to inspire a love of symphonic music in young children, the creepy concert will offer orchestral renditions of scary classics (including “Ride of the Valkyries”), a dramatic reading of Poe’s “The Tell Tale Heart” by Armin Shimerman (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), a performance of “Ghost Riders in The Sky” by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, an onstage costume contest for kids, and a Trick-or-Treat Village before the show.

To win the tickets, send an email to contest@hollywoodgothique.com, answering this question: “What actor read ‘The Tell Tale Heart’ at last Halloween’s Eek at the Greek?’ (You can find the answer here.) Please include “Eek at the Greek” in the subject line, and provide your full name.

A winner will be chosen at random at midnight on Monday, October 19. The winner will be contacted by email, and an announcement will be made on the website. Tickets will be available at the Greek Theatre’s will-call window; please bring a photo I.D.

In Hollywood Gothique’s humble opinion, Eek at the Greek is the best non-haunt Halloween event in Los Angeles (see our 2014 Halloween Haunt Awards: Winners). Far from a stuffy rendition of esoteric music, the concert is a joyful and exuberant experience guaranteed to delight parents and children; thanks to a exciting performances of symphonic pieces chosen for their infectious entertainment value, you do not need to be an expert or even have a passing interest in classical music to enjoy Eek at the Greek.

Eek at the Greek begins with a “Trick-or-Treat Village” in the Greek Theatre’s plaza, which offers safe trick-or-treating and Halloween activities from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The concert begins at 7pm.

The Greek Theatre is located at 2700 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90027. Click here for the event’s listing at the Greek website. Click here for the Symphony in the Glen.
