Wrapping Up Halloween 2020: A Work in Progress
After Halloween fades away into November, Hollywood Gothique does not simply lock the cemetery gate and take a vacation until next year. We’re actually not a Halloween blog but rather a year-found guide to horror, fantasy, and science-fiction theme events and attractions in Los Angeles. This year, however, the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic guarantees that interesting events will be few and far between, which means we should have lots of time to concentrate on finding the Halloween tidbits we may have missed in the rush to October 31.
We like to organize things geographically rather than chronologically. What this means is that, instead of new posts, we are currently updating old posts to include yard haunts that we visited on November 1. So, for example, if you are curious about Halloween Home Haunts that were mentioned but not reviewed or photographed in our various Halloween Yard Haunt Odyssey articles, you will now be able to find them.
We have added Circus of Nightmares, Discount Pest Contrul, Fillmore Graves, Haunted Groundz, Ravenswood Manor, and Tobias Tombs to the San Fernando Valley Halloween Odyssey and Haunting of Hamlin House and Terror of Densmore Manor to the San Fernando Valley West Halloween Odyssey. You can check out a sampling of photographs from these haunts above.
Although several additions have already been made, our Halloween wrap-up remains a work-in-progress, especially since one or two Halloween attractions remain open throughout this week. More photos and commentary will be posted, including a Haunt Odyssey to Toluca Lake, an area long known as a Mecca for trick-or-treaters.
