Christmas Carols on stage
It’s that time of year when Los Angeles theatres stage adaptations of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic. Besides Nocturne Theatre’s musical version, Madam Scrooge (reviewed here) at least two other notable versions of A Christmas Carol are in production this year. A Noise Within in Pasadena offers their annual version November 30 through December 30. And Long Beach Playhouse presents their production from December 7 through 22.
A Christmas Carol at A Noise Within runs Thursdays through Sundays, with evening performances at 7pm and matinees at 2pm (varies by date). Tickets start at $64.50 (including fees). A Christmas Carol at Long Beach Playhouse has performances at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and at 2pm on Sundays. Tickets are $20-30. Long Bach Playhouse is located at is 5021 E Anaheim Street in Long Beach. We have not seen this production, but Long Beach Playhouse did a great job with The Passion of Dracula (reviewed here) earlier this year, so we are optimistic.Get more information here.
