After Halloween 2019: Remaining Haunts

The tolling of the midnight bell on October 31 does not necessarily signal the end of the Halloween season. Many events continue through the first weekend of November, some even longer.

Below is a rundown of home haunts, horror film screenings, spooky immersive experiences, and scary interactive plays that are still open.


All Saints Lunatic Asylum haunted attraction in Apple Valley is open November 1 & 2, 7-10pm. Reviewed here.

Alt Delete, the interactive micro-experience from Delusion-creator Jon Braver runs through November 24 at the Dragon and the Meeple near USC; some dates are sold out. Reviewed here. At the same location, Delusion Lies Within, the VR version of the 2014 play, is at the same location on November 1, 2 & 3.

The Catastrophe Cabin yard display in Glendale remains open through November 2, 7-10pm. More info here.

Cinema Phantasmagoria continues at the Million Dollar Theatre with a screening of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas on November 2. Reviewed here.

Coffin Creek Halloween Haunt in Corona is open November 1-3, 7:30pm-midnight on Friday and Saturday, 7-10pm on Sunday.

Bite – the immersive theatrical dining experience at the Count’s Den – continues on November 7, 14, 16, 23 & 30. Reviewed here.

Drama After Dark: A Night of the Macabre with Poe and Gorey runs on November 2, 6:30-10:30pm at Portico’s Art Space in Pasadena. More info here.

FallOutShelter: LA, a yard haunt in Azusa, is open November 1, 6-10pm. More info here.

Fears Gate is open on November 1 to compensate for the October 30 closure. Hours are 7-11pm. The venue is the Simi Valley Town Center. More info here.

The Fleshyard continues on Nov 1 and 2, 7-11pm. Tix are $15 to $20 per person. It’s located at 5702 E. La Palma. Anaheim, CA 92807. Reviewed here.

Give Up the Ghost gives two final performances at  First Christian Church of Whittier on November 1, starring at 8pm and 10pm. Tickets are $80. Use the discount code GOTHIQUE to get $20 off. Gothic Hills Cemetery in Sylmar is open November 1 & 3. The walk-through home haunt was hit hard by wind, cancelling a planned date on October 30 but has added the Sunday, November 3 date to compensate. More info here.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is open November 1, 2 & 3.

The Haunted Mansion Haunt in Orange County is open November 1, 7-10pm. More info here.

Halloween: Monsters, Mummies & Mayhem continues at the Hollywood Museum through November 3 during regular business hours: 10am-5pm. This is a season rebranding of the museum’s year-round Dungeon of Doom attraction; guests in costume get $5 off regular admission price. More info here.

The Haunt at Hellizondo in Simi Valley has added November 1 to its schedule. The home haunt walk-through will be open 7-9pm. More info here.

The Haunt with No Name Yet remains nameless for two more nights: November 1, 6:30-10pm and November 2, 6:30-11pm. More info here.

The High Desert Haunted House in Apple Valley has a Day of the Dead Night on November 1, 7-10:30pm and an Extreme Night on November 2, 8-11pm. More info here.

House of Creep, this year’s Creep LA Immersive Experience, runs on November 1, 2 & 3. Info here.

House of Spirits: A Haunted Cocktail Soiree continues through November 2 at the Beckett Mansion in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles. Update: House of Spirits will return for an eleven-day engagement running Thursdays through Sundays from November 29 through December 15. Reviewed here.

Night of the Living Dead – a stage adaptation of the 1968 film directed by George Romero – continues on Fridays and Saturdays at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in Burbank through November 10. More info here.

The Séance has been extended through November 23 at Cross Roads Escape Games, with additional evening performances on Fridays & Saturdays. Tickets start at $45 per person. The Third Eye: Horror of the Orient is scheduled at the Anaheim Garden Walk on weekends through November 24. Hours are 7:30pm-midnight on Fridays, 6pm-midnight on Saturdays, and 6-10pm on Sundays. Reviewed here.

Twisted Minds Productions offers an encore of Salem: Escape the Coven on November 2. The San Gabriel home haunt walk-through will be open 7-10pm. More info here.

The Void Virtual Reality Experience is also open year round. Their very scary seasonal attraction, Nicodemus: Demon of Evanishment is scheduled at their Glendale Galleria location through November 8. Reviewed here.
