2025 Halloween Screenings include Frankenstein, The Cat and the Canary, The Phantom of the Opera (1925), Halloween, The Old Dark House (1932), and Revenge of the Creature. Also: on the bill is Hollywood Graveyard: An Evening with Arthur and Giuseppe – Two Decomposers on Sunday, October 26 at 2:30pm & 7pm. Hollywood Graveyard host Arthur Dark and composer Giuseppe Vasapolli present live performances of macabre music guaranteed to get you in the Halloween spirit, along with fortune telling and poetry readings from Poe.

Tickets: $10-12 for sound films, $20 for silent films with live musical accompaniment, $25 for Hollywood Graveyard.

Old Town Music Haunt Information

During October, Old Town Music Hall turns into Old Town Music Haunt, offering month-long festival of Halloween Horror Movie Screenings with an emphasis on black-and-white classics, including silent films. Each show is presented like more of an event than a mere screening. The main feature is preceded by live music, an audience sing-along, and a comedy short. Silent films feature live accompaniment, which literally includes all the bells and whistles available on the venue’s Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ.

Old Town Music Haunt‘s Halloween schedule usually favors horror movies from the 1930s and 1940s, particularly monster movies from Universal Pictures (Dracula, Frankenstein), plus some cult and sci-fi films of later vintage. Thecompany’s 1925 silent version of The Phantom of the Opera is a perennial, being perfectly suited to the live accompaniment on Old Town Music Hall’s organ. Most programming is family-friendly, but some films may to too intense for younger viewers.

Old Town Music Hall screens classic films year-round, occasionally mixing in fantasy and science fiction titles. For a time, there was a monthly Sci-Fi Tuesday.
