Cinematheque Halloween Horror Screenings 2015
The American Cinematheque will screen casket full of horror movies during the Halloween season. In addition to Beyond Fest 2015, which runs from October 1 through 12, there will be numerous one-shot events, including an in-person appearance by Oscar-winning monster-maker Rick Baker and the annual Dusk-to-Dawn Horrorthon.
Below is the complete list of screenings. All films start at 7:30pm unless otherwise noted.
- Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde at in the Egyptian on October 17 at 8:30pm
- Attack on Titan in the Aero on October 22 & 25
- A double bill of Ed Wood and Harry and the Hendersons in the Aero on October 23
- The 10th Annual Dusk-to-Dawn Horrorthon (including Halloween III: Season of the Witch, etc) in the Aero on October 24
- Ghostbusters in the Egyptian on October 30
- The Shining in the Aero on Halloween Night
Rick Baker will appear in between the double bill of Ed Wood and Harry and the Hendesons. The screening of The Shining at the Aero Theatre will afford guests an opportunity to take advantage of the Montana Avenue Halloween Hop, an annual community trick-or-treat event, with local shops handing out candy from 3pm to 6pm.
The Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. The Aero Theatre is at 1328 Montana Avenue in Santa Monica.
