Location: Knott’s Scary Farm, Spooky House, Seaside Haunt, Old Town Haunt, Fright Fair
It seems that Hollywood begins the summer movie season a little earlier every year, launching their early blockbusters in May, so what’s wrong with starting the Halloween spookfests in September? Absolutely nothing!
Several of the established Halloween haunted houses open their doors for business on Friday, but Knott’s Scary Farm gets the jump on them by unleashing their annual Halloween Haunt tonight.
This early in the season, it’s a cinch that not every show will be up and running, but it’s a worthwhile trade-off, because the crowds are so much thinner on the first weekend that you can make it through absolutely every haunted maze in the park (something we achieved back in 2004).
As always, you can get up-to-date information on this week’s haunted happenings – including which Halloween horror attractions are opening – on the front page of www.hollywoodgothique.com.
