Description: The New Beverly presents a double bill of DIABOLIQUE, the famous thriller directed by Clouzot, and HENRI-GEORGES CLOUZOT’S INFERNO, a documentary about the director’s aborted, obsessive attempt to shoot L’ENFER, with Romy Schneider. DIABOLIQUE is frankly over-rated – a decent but unspectacular film buoyed up by a memorable finale. INFERNO sounds like a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at a film gone off the rails.
