Mable’s 6 Feet Under – dark for Halloween 2018

Mable’s 6 Feet Under Haunted Motel (formerly Motel 6 Feet Under) has announced that it will be going dark for Halloween 2018. A somewhat cryptic email states that the Halloween haunt will be “dark but not dead” and that “big things are in the works.” No details are given, just a promise that exciting news will be released as soon as it is confirmed. Meanwhile, Mable’s will “spend the season doing give-aways to other haunts.”

Curiously, the email never states outright that Mable’s 6 Feet Under will be closed, only that it will be “darker than usual.” The email also mentions three times that there will not be a “walk through this year” as if to imply there might be something else. If we were conspiratorially minded, we might almost suspect that Mable’s is dropping hints it will transform itself from a maze into a dark ride. More likely, the email is simply teasing us into accepting that this year’s hiatus is only temporary.

We certainly hope so.
