New for Halloween 2023: Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns
Halloween 2023 sees the arrival of a third carved pumpkin festival in Los Angeles, with Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group adding Magic of the Jack-o’-Lanterns to a list which already includes Nights of the Jack and Carved. Billing itself as a “larger-than-life pumpkin experience,” Magic of the Jack-o’-Lanterns promises an all-ages Halloween wonderland featuring nautical seascape, pirate ship, dinosaurs, dragons, and thousands of jack-o’-lanterns depicting spooky ghouls and goblins along with familiar pop culture icons. Additionally, visitors can enjoy interactive photo opportunities, themed food and beverage offerings, live entertainment.

Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns offers family-friendly Halloween fun
Located at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, Magic of the Jack-o’-Lanterns makes its Los Angeles debut on September 22, running on select nights through Halloween. For the benefit of visitors with special sensory needs, there will be a Sensory Night on Sunday, October 8th, when the lighting and music will be dimmed to create a more comfortable environment. The address is 750 S. Santa Anita Avenue in South El Monte. Tickets are competitively priced, starting at $19.99 for children and $24.99 for adults on select nights. As for the other two pumpkin festivals:
- Carved runs from October 6 to 29 in Descanso Gardens. Tickets start at $25 for children and $35 for adults. The address is 1418 Descanso Drive in La Cañada Flintridge. Get more information at descanso.org.
- Nights of the Jack runs at King Gillette Ranch from September 29 through October 31, except October 17. Tickets range from $29.99 to 49.99, with lower prices on weekdays and higher prices on weekends. VIP Anytime Tickets are $74.99. 2 years and under get in free.
