Description: Old Town invites families to come on down and enjoy some frightfully fun activities at their annual Halloween celebration. The free events takes place on two separate days, a week apart. On Day 1 – Saturday, October 22 – there will be pumpkin decorating for kids and kids at heart Saturday. On Halloween itself – October 31 – stores and restaurants will open their doors for free trick-or-treating; there will be popular Halloween costumed characters roaming the streets, and you can watch outdoor screenings of MONSTERS INC and TIM BURTON’S CORPSE BRIDE.

PASADENA, CA. (October, 2011) – Bring the family for a wicked good time with free Halloween fun in Old Pasadena, Saturday, October 22 and Monday, October 31. Spooktacular activities throughout the district include kids pumpkin decorating, store-to-store trick-or-treating, costumed character meet and greet, outdoor screenings of Monsters Inc. and Corpse Bride, free haunted photos, kid-friendly haunted house, and much more!
The celebration begins Saturday, October 22from 12pm to 3pm at the One Colorado Courtyard with free Halloween pumpkin decorating. Decorate and take home your own Halloween Jack-O-Lantern. The fun activity is suited for kids and kids at heart with witches and goblins welcome, pumpkins will be provided.
On Halloween eve, Monday, October 31 over 75 stores and restaurants in Old Pasadena open their doors for free store-to-store trick-or-treating starting at 4pm. Merchants will supply a variety of festive candy and confections for all the dressed up little ones in attendance. Free caramel apples will be given out on Colorado Blvd and bring the little ones to the One Colorado Courtyard for free haunted professional photos against a festive background and hundreds of pumpkins. One Colorado will also host outdoor screenings of the popular kids’ movie Monsters Inc. at 6pm and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride at 8pm. Guests can enjoy a unique opportunity to meet and greet with various popular Halloween costumed characters who will be roaming Old Pasadena on Halloween evening.
The spooky fun continues into the late evening as teenagers and adults are invited to visit the Old Town Haunt, Pasadena’s award-winning scary haunted house. Descend into the darkness at the basement of the historical Union Savings Bank Building where rumor has it, mysterious occurrences have taken place in the buildings’ deadly 109 year history including reports of hideous screams, and odors of decay. Now the building is open to the public for chilling tours into the catacombs where ghosts and goblins meet from 7pm-12am. A lights-on, child friendly tour and walk-thru is also available from 12pm-4pm on Sunday, October 30.
The Old Pasadena Halloween Celebration is presented by Old Pasadena Management and One Colorado with partnership from the Old Town Haunt. All activities are free except the Old Town Haunt which is $15 general admission.
