Review: Tom’s Farms Present’s Fear The Farm

Hallowseve Inc’s Productions returned to Tom’s Farms for a sophomore year effort with more to offer.  Last season was their first crack at redoing Tom’s Farm’s Haunted Train which was always more spooky than scary.  Since Hallowseve Inc. took over; it’s been a spooky decor with a full-on scare.  New this year is live music while you wait in line for the train and a full-on haunted walk-through on the other side of the dining tables.

Tom’s Farm’s Fear The Farm 2024 Review: Train Ride

You can expect the same level of scare and same caliber as last year when they first refreshed The Haunted Train.  Much like most haunted hayride experiences; this train is not really intended for minors unless accompanied.  There are still spooky decorations to see on your route, but there are also an equal amount of jump scares and scare actors that come out of nowhere.  This experience was hard to photograph but it is dark for a reason.  The line does get long so we suggest getting there early to get through it before hitting the haunted maze.  The train ride is a separate admission so this is completely option.  However, if you arrive right at start time, you should be able to hit both attractions.

Tom’s Farm’s Fear The Farm 2024 Review: Haunted Maze

With the main event being about what Hallowseve Inc. does best; we recommend saving the haunted maze for last.  Last year, their walk-through maze was dark since they focused all their efforts on revamping the haunted train.  After showcasing their capabilities on what they can do with Tom’s Farms, they were able to procure an unused area of the land to build their signature long walk-through maze.  Fear The Farm is what you can expect from a standard Hallowseve Inc. maze and then some.  Now with a short video to get guests engaged and involved with the story; their classic tactics that are reminiscent of a good old-school scare still finds a way to get you.  Their employment of analog effects teamed with the exuberance of their talent will keep you alert and be on the lookout for the next potential scare.

Tom’s Farm’s Fear The Farm 2024 Review: Conclusion

The Fear The Farm haunt theme makes perfect sense here since it takes place at an actual farm.  Sometimes it’s hard to envision a “farm” themed haunt just because the word is used in their name unless it’s on an actual farm.  Though Tom’s Farms has been modernized long ago to look more like a small town village plaza with shopping and food; the residents are fully aware that it started off as a produce stand 50 years ago.  That bit of history can add to the imagination and heighten the experience that it’s really haunted.

5 – Excellent

A great change of scenery compared to a standard walk-through maze.  This is the only “haunted train” experience we’ve seen since the previous years were more spooky/kiddie like fun. An experience like this is always great because you can get all the scares of a walk-through except we can save our legs and let it come to us.  For those that prefer a traditional haunted walk-through, have no fear because the Fear The Farm haunted maze gives you plenty to fear for.  Both attractions close promptly at 9:30 PM.

Tom’s Farms Haunted Train ride and Haunted Maze continues until October 27 on Fridays through Sundays.  Each attraction is a separate ticket.  Parking is complimentary.  They are located at 23900 Temescal Canyon Rd, Corona, CA.  Get more information at https://tomsfarms.com/
