Trailer: Alien Romulus

20th Century Fox releases the latest installment in the Alien franchise on Friday, August 16. Alien: Romulus promises to return the saga to its roots, with space colonizers encountering the aliens while scavenging a derelict space station. The cast includes Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), and Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead”) directs from a screenplay he cowrote with Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Ridley Scott (director of the original “Alien”) produces, along with Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”) and Walter Hill (“Alien”).
