Trailer: Lumina

Goldove Pictures releases Lumina in limited theatrical engagements on Friday, July 12 (advance screenings start Thursday evening). Los Angeles-area theatres include AMC Rolling Hills 20 in Torrance, AMC Covina, and AMC Puente Hills.

The low-budget sci-fi thriller involves a woman’s mysterious disappearance, which her boyfriend comes to believe was an alien abduction. He enlists his friends to help search a Deep Underground Military Base, which he believes is holding both his girlfriend and the aliens. Erick Roberts headlines the cast for first-time director Gino McKoy, who also wrote and produced.

Goldove’s promotional campaign on their YouTube channel claims the film was made to raise awareness about real alien abductions, but we suspect the film is tongue in cheek – the Deep Underground Military Base yields the acronym DUMB.
