Trailer: Three Thousand Years of Longing

For those of you who did not get enough Idris Elba with Beast, MGM releases Three Thousand Years of Longing. Elba plays a Djinn who offers to grant three wishes to a lonely scholar (Tilda Swinton), but she’s smart enough to know that stories about wishes are always cautionary tales. Will she succumb to the temptation, and if so, will she make a wish that does not turn out badly?

George Miller (Mad Max) directed from a script he co-wrote with Augusta Gore, based upon A.S. Byatt’s short story “The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye.” US Release Date: August 26, 2022.
