Upcoming IAC horror shows: Mysterian’s Mysteries & Lovecraft’s Outsider
This September, the Immersive Arts Collective in downtown Los Angeles will present H.P. Lovecraft: The Outsider, a one-man show written and performed by Mitchell Pratt. Directed by Pratt and Ian Heath, with Rachel Adams producing, the play combines Lovecraft’s famous first-person horror story, “The Outsider,” with real-life material culled from the author’s letters and from the memoirs of his wife, Sonia H. Davis (née Green).
H.P. Lovecraft: The Outsider explores themes of racism, misogyny, and abuse; admission is limited to ages 21 and over. The half-hour show runs on September 27 and 28 with performances at 8pm and 9:15pm. Tickets are $25. Immersive Art Collective is located in The Count’s Den at 1035 S Olive Street in Los Angeles. Also of note: Fans of IAC productions will be pleased to know that Mysterian’s Mysterious Mysteries will be returning on August 4 with an encore double bill of this June’s “The Fox Sisters” and 2022’s “Roswell.”
