Warner Bros bringing IT Festival & Funhouse to Hollywood

IT: Derry Festival and Funhouse posterIt’s déjà vu all over again: Warner Bros. has announced the “IT Experience Chapter Two” will arrive in Hollywood this August to promote the September 6 theatrical release of IT: Chapter Two. Fans of the horror franchise will recall that two years ago Warner Bros. opened the “IT Experience” – a walk-through attraction based on the Neibolt House – prior to the release of IT.

The new experience is called “The Derry Canal Days Festival and Funhouse, Featuring Pennywise the Dancing Clown.” Details are scarce at this point, but the official description sounds more akin to Warner’s I Like Scary Movies interactive experience than to the Neibolt House: “the 40-minute spine-tingling experience” will feature “10 immersive and terrifying interactive spaces, giving visitors a glimpse into the upcoming film.”

The Derry Canal Days Festival and Funhouse will take place at the same location as the Neibolt House: the parking lot on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The address is 1625 N. Vine Street in Hollywood.

Hours of operation will be 2pm to 11pm daily from August 15 through September 8.

Admission is free. Reservations are recommended, but there will be a standby line. Reservation begin on July 31.

Entrance is restricted to 18 and over except for 17-year-olds, who may attend with a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult.
