Whittier Museum haunts anew; Haunted Rose heads home

Whittier Museum has been a must-see Halloween destination the past three years, thanks to the presence of The Haunted Rose, which transformed the venue into an imaginative walkthrough attraction on par with pro-haunts. That partnership comes to an end this October, with Haunted Rose returning to its original location as a home haunt, while the museum presents its own haunted house. The somewhat generically titled “Whittier Museum Haunt” promises to “take visitors into the depths of various fears and phobias.” Meanwhile, Haunted Rose presents “Mausoleum of Madness,” which has a nice Lovecraftian ring, in line with the haunt’s previous themes.

The Whittier Museum Haunt will operate on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27, from 6pm to 9pm. The fundraiser’s admission price is $10. In addition to its haunted house, Whittier Museum will offer Halloween Car Show, a Halloween Marketplace, trick-or-treating, and a Halloween version of their ghost tour. The car show and marketplace take place on Saturday during the haunt. Trick-or-treating is on Sunday from noon to 4pm. The Halloween Ghost Tours start at 6pm, 7:30pm, and 9pm on Tuesday, October 29. Admission is $35.  The Whittier Historical Society & Museum is located at 6755 Newlin Ave, Whittier, CA, United States, California 90601. The official website is here.

The Haunted Rose will be open on Halloween Night only, from 6pm to 11pm; admission to the walkthrough is free. The address is 12116 Groveland Avenue, Whittier, CA 90604. Their Facebook page is here.
